Recreational River Safety (RECRS)
The half-day course is based on international best practice, including the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council’s river safety resources and covers river crossing decision making, shallow water crossing techniques (solo and group), river swimming survival techniques, use of throw-bags and where required, pack floats and wader safety drills are covered. This course is aimed at recreational users only.
