Rope Access for Emergency
Responders Instructor (RAFERI)
The Rope Access for Emergency Responders Instructor pathway will enable the Instructor to teach members of technical rope rescue teams who want to become proficient in rope access techniques and individual pick-off rescues.
Prerequisites
- Technical Rope Rescue Technician Level (TRRTL)
- Rope Rescue for Emergency Responders (RAFER)
- Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA), Wilderness First Responder (WFR), EMT, or equivalent workplace emergency medical certification
Instructor training & assessment
Observe, assist & be assessed by Rope-IT and/or as agreed upon with Northwest Rescue’s International Office
Qualification valid for
2 years
Able to teach
Rope Access for Emergency Responders (RAFER)
Safe Work at Heights (SWAH)
Co-Worker Rescue at Heights (CWRH)
